Havidol, Dr. Horrible, funny cats and GigaPan

A friend sent this article to me: “Art Tackles Big Pharma.” I think it’s more than a year old, but I don’t remember seeing it before. It’s a fake ad campaign for Havidol, a drug treating Dysphoric Social Attention Consumption Deficit Anxiety Disorder. DSACDAD is an illness characterized by a sense of lingering unhappiness. Funny.
Last week I watched the DVD special features of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, including Commentary! The Musical. This was an online project that happened last year during the writers’ strike thanks to Joss Whedon. Neil Patrick Harris stars as Dr. Horrible. I recommend it!
Here are some amusing “cat vs. electronic device” videos: Pussy versus Printer, Roomba Driver and Subwoofer Cat.
Check out this amazing GigaPan photo of Obama’s inauguration. Looks to be quite the infinite panoramic photo-stitch. My coworkers and I were looking at it yesterday. There are a few curiosities. For example, look at the guy standing below and left of that lamppost (on our left, or Obama’s right). What’s going on with his head? It looks like there are seams in the image (as expected), but it appears kind of random. Also, in the crowd behind Obama there’s a guy with two sets of eyes.
