Oregon tennis tournaments: Summer 2013

Summer tennis tournament season is almost here, so I’ve been checking OregonTennis.com, as usual. I try to play in at least four community tennis tournaments in the Mid-Willamette Valley each summer. However, it’s now been over nine months since I last played tennis. My most recent match was in September 2012, before my trip to Europe.
The first summer tennis tournament I want to enter is in one month. I think I need a montage.
Community tennis tournaments
Here are the tournaments I plan to enter this year, in the USTA 4.0+ division:
- Monmouth Independence Tennis Tournament: July 5-7, 2013
- McMinnville (MAC) Open Tennis Tournament: July 19-21, 2013 (canceled)
- Woodburn Open Tennis Tournament: July 26-28, 2013
- Albany All-City Tennis Tournament: August 2-4, 2013
My wife and I also have a baby daughter due in late July/early August, so playing in all of these might not be possible. We shall see.
Registration for each tennis tournament usually closes about a week before its start. Each PDF entry form should show up at OregonTennis.com a few weeks in advance of each tournament. For Woodburn and Albany, you can also contact the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, or use the links above.
USTA tennis tournaments
I’ve yet to play in any of these, but summer USTA-sanctioned tournaments in Corvallis (at Timberhill Tennis Club), Eugene, Ashland, Bend and elsewhere can be found at USTA TennisLink.
